Misbehaving

A weird sun adorns your wall, o party house,

for I have made a radiant flower

of yellow sticky page markers

pulled one after the other after the other from their case

that I found while looking for another beer.

 

Drunk enough to make this glorious many-petalled icon

I still realise

that this is two pounds’ worth of

someone else’s overpriced but useful stationery

and this is not polite to my host, your tenant.

Then I stop caring because I remember that he is

a management consultant.
